Why ADHD Coaching

Whether you were just diagnosed or have lived much of your life knowing about your ADHD, you were likely never taught the fundamental differences in your brain’s structure and functioning.

Your creative brain, who loves novelty and challenge, likely developed ways to adapt to a neurotypical world.

These systems do not adapt to new environments or situations, putting pressure back you on you, the architect.

Coaching teaches you about YOUR brain, complemented by what drives you and is most important, in any given moment or situation.

You build a framework and portfolio of your own success to tackle what is needed.

About

I’m Kristen! I’ve been on a journey my entire adult life to understand my brain and my motivation. Having a late diagnosis of ADHD gave me an understanding of why I do things the way I do. It also highlighted my struggles.

Thankfully, after my diagnosis, I learned about ADHD coaching and it helped me immensely to understand my patterns and also reframe the negative thoughts that both pushed me to work harder and also caused me to burn out.

I’m here to help my fellow ADHD’ers like you create a new relationship with your brain. Let’s explore what a different approach could do for you!

My Coaching Philosophy

Beliefs

Every person is capable of change. What matters is finding the right conditions and the right resources for that change to take hold. Coaching works from a strengths-based approach, from the belief that each client already holds the answers.

Biology

Did you know that the importance of a task isn’t enough to activate the ADHD brain? Armed with knowledge of your unique biology, you can finally build a system that works with your brain. Your willpower hasn’t failed; a different fuel is required.

Brilliance

ADHD coaching is grounded in a belief that we are whole and complete individuals who don’t require a “fix” but rather an orientation to our natural skills and capabilities. We will work from a strengths-based foundation to rewrite the unhelpful scripts that prevent meaningful progress towards the activity that is most important to each client.

You’re not losing your mind.

You’re becoming the only woman you could ever be.
